Project: Helping Hands
The First Koala in Australia
Time ago a lazy child existed. He was always on a trunk, I don't know doing what, but he was always there. I remember my granny she was always in the chair watching T.V., and when she wanted something she asked to me: can you bring me this? Well that boy was like granny, but he didn’t ask to me, he asked to the Australian people. What a shame! He lived with a tribe. That boy was so special, because he was as bright as a child always studying, but what a pity! He was lazy. The place was so nice: the grass perfectly gentle. The air was exactly fresh. The sky was blue. The sun was near so it was very hot.
But one day all the aborigines were going to the river, because it was a thirsty day. The child was jaded waiting on the trunk for the water. When all the water came, the child cried with a lovely face, “Can you give me some water, please ?“,“yes of course”, tribe people replied.
All the water was together in bowls, but the boy was again thirsty. He was looking for the bowls of water but he didn’t find them. Minutes later he found them, he had a fantastic idea, it was the first time he was energetic. The boy was muttering to a leave his entire plan. He hid the water bowls on the bush. The child clang to the tree with all the water bowls. This tree grew after a strange magic!
All the aborigines were tired as they came from digging food. They were so thirsty and wanted to drink water, but they didn’t find them. They saw the gum tree that was tall. They saw the water bowls hanging from the tree. The men shouted “naughty, boy climb down”.
The boy stayed there for months. All the time he was there he was glad and in a minute his eyes were big and round, his ears were big and soft. His body was soft with the hair. He transformed into a koala. All the people that were near him were surprised, while he moaned and wailed. That was the first koala of Australia.
